ACT Information

ACT Testing

The next testing date for the ACT will be is Saturday December 12. It’s a good idea for all seniors to take the test during the fall semester even if they do not know their post secondary plans. A few scholarships require fall ACT administration. The registration deadline for the next administration of the ACT is November 2, 2009.  It’s not too early for juniors to begin making plans to take the test as well. The 2009-2010 testing schedule follows. Registration may be completed online at www.actstudent.org.

Northwest Missouri State University offers a ACT prep course for $35.00. The courses are being held St. Joe October 10th and in Maryville October 17. The cost for the course is $35.00.

HCC College Planning Conference

D-West juniors and seniors will travel to the Wellness Center at HCC campus on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, for HCC's College Planning Conference.  Representatives from institutions throughout Kansas and Northwest Missouri, along with military representatives will be in attendance.  Students will have the opportunity to browse information booths and visit with the reps.  Hopefully students will find answers to some of their college life questions and set up contacts.  Parents are welcomed to attend.  For more information, please check out HCC's website - www.highlandcc.edu.
