Doniphan West High School 2012 Winter Royalty!

Keshana Cook is the daughter of Kevin Cook and Yvette Cook. She has one younger sister, Kayla. Throughout high school, Keshana has participated in NHS, Link Leaders, dance, choir, band, and numerous theatrical productions. She has also been involved in Forensics, Scholars’ Bowl, Spanish Club, Chess Club, and is the Art and Drama Club Vice President. She has also been a class officer and is currently a Student Council representative. In Keshana’s free time she enjoys singing with her sister and spending time with family. After high school Keshana plans to attend Highland Community College and then continue at the University of Kansas to major in Musical Theatre. During the month of January, Doniphan West Schools join other school districts throughout the state of Kansas to recognize the important contribution school board members make to their communities as it honors and celebrates the work of the Doniphan West Schools USD 111 Board of Education. Austin Veach is Selected to Play in the 2012 Shrine Bowl.

Seniors from all schools across the state are evaluated and selected for the Shrine Bowl game each and every year. Only 68 players are selected from all classifications and sizes to participate in the game on July 28, 2012. Starting at 7:00 PM @ Emporia State University. The game pits the best 34 seniors from each side of state (using Salina and the division between east and West) to compete in a game for both honor and charity.
