Homecoming Football Game vs. McLouth

Homecoming week at Doniphan West was topped off with an outstanding win on Friday night. The Mustangs played impressive football to beat McLouth with a score of 52-10. One of the highlights of the game is the 150th career win for Coach Mark Martin who has coached for 23 years and has had four state championships.  

Stats: Passing: Travis Twombly 5 for 5 and 163 yards. Rushing: Twombly 83 yards, Dunlap 70, Ben Petrik 61, Keaton Blevins 27, Chris Smith 14, Tanner Veach 9. Receiving: Zach Lee 77 yards, Dunlap 59, Bijon Duran 27. Tackles (solo/assisted): Michael Hurd 6, Aaron Harris 6, T. Veach 5, Blevins 5, Petrik 4, Dunlap 4, Smith 4, Zeit 4, Lee 3, Saunders 3, Becker 2, Twombly 2, Kuhnert 1, A. Veach 1, A. Duran 1.

The Doniphan West Mustangs are now 4-1 and looking for their fifth win of the season this Friday night against Oskaloosa.

Charging through the midst of chaos, junior Brett Dunlap carries the ball for an impressive gain early in the first quarter. Dunlap rushed for 70 yards and three touchdowns for the Mustangs.
