DWHS Senior Awards and Recognition Night

Doniphan West High School senior awards and recognition night was held on Tuesday, April 22. It was a night for the seniors to be recognized for accomplishments in academics, athletics, and activities. Four special awards were also given to seniors who were selected by the faculty: The Mustang Award, received by Eric Simmons, is awarded to the student who has been the best all around student; The Janet Libel Spirit Award, received by Stephanie Schneider, is awarded to the student who has embodied the spirit and pride that the late Janet Libel modeled; the Chrysalis Award, received by Amanda Halling, is awarded to the individual who has shown the most growth throughout high school. The Citizenship Award was received by Eric Simmons and Allison Thompson. The seniors, their parents, and teachers attended dinner with the awards following.
