February 01, 2008
Highland Elementary celebrated the 100th day of school on February 1, 2008. Throughout the day, students participated in several activities that focused on the number 100. Winners of the poster contest were announced. For the poster contest, students had the choice of drawing what the world looked like 100 years ago or what the world will look like 100 years from now. Seven students were also congratulated for having 100 days of perfect attendance. The student body was challenged to bring in 100 box tops by February 1 and not only did they meet that challenge, they were well above the mark. Students participated in 100 seconds of silence, 100 kisses, 100 fingers, 100 baskets, 100 seconds of dancing, 100 pom-poms into sacks, and stacking 100 paper cups and plates. The day was enjoyed by everyone! Click on the link below to view the slide show.
